Vought OS2U Kingfisher

Vought OS2U KingfisherThe Vought OS2U Kingfigher was an American catapult-launched observation float-plane during the World War II and there were 1519 of these aircraft built during that time.

These float-planes were occasionally used to carry bombs but with only a limited weight of 200 pounds. Takeoffs were carried out from battle ships and landings on water, making the Kingfisher a unique or some would say a 'strange' airplane.
